SNP Úhorná na Starom vrchu is an unstaffed shelter in the Volovské vrchy at 1,020 m, open year-round and free to use, with capacity for 7. Built in 2021 by Košice volunteers from OZ Cesta hrdinov SNP on Slovakia's longest long-distance trail (E8), near Úhornianske sedlo. Replaced an older trailer shelter that had become uninhabitable. Bring your own sleeping gear.
