Build with us

Bivigo is built in the open. The product is shaped by feedback from hikers, alpine club members, and people who care about mountain infrastructure.

The codebase itself is private for now, but you can follow development, file issues, and contribute ideas through our public GitHub repository.

Contribute

There are several ways to help, no coding required:

Report missing shelters. If you know of a hut, bivouac, or shelter that isn’t on Bivigo, tell us. Especially welcome for less-documented regions or recently built structures.

Correct existing data. Found wrong opening hours, an outdated phone number, a closed shelter still listed as open? Open an issue or email us.

Send photos. We’re missing photos for many shelters. If you’ve been there and have a usable image (your own work, ideally landscape orientation, no people clearly visible), we’d love to feature it with credit.

Translate. Long-term, we want Bivigo in Czech, Slovak, German, Slovenian. If you’d like to help with translation, get in touch.

Spread the word. If Bivigo helped you plan a trip, tell other hikers. Word-of-mouth is how niche tools grow.

For any of the above, email hello@bivigo.app.

How to file an issue

Use GitHub Issues for anything you want to track publicly:

  • Missing shelter— use the “missing-shelter” template
  • Data correction— use the “data-correction” template
  • Bug report— use the “bug” template
  • Feature request— use the “feature” template

For private matters (partnerships, sensitive corrections, anything personal), email hello@bivigo.app instead.
