Avia v sedle Krivé is an unstaffed emergency shelter on the Cesta hrdinov SNP (E8) trail in the Volovské vrchy at 1,122 m, open year-round and free to use. The 'shelter' is an old metal cabinet from a decommissioned Avia truck, placed in Krivé saddle by locals as a last-resort refuge for through-hikers — useful as a fallback when the nearby SNP Úhorná shelter is full. Very basic: bring your own sleeping gear and expect minimal comfort.
