Handlovská útulňa pod Vtáčím rajom is a basic shelter in the Kremnické vrchy above the town of Handlová at 625 m, open year-round and free to use, with capacity for 15. Built by Handlovské lesy as part of a public infrastructure project in the town's municipal forests, near the green-marked trail leading up to the main Žiar ridge. Bring your own sleeping gear.
